A Composite Door from Apeer installed by South Lakes Windows Ltd is the ultimate statement for the discerning homeowner. Ultimate high quality and high security as well as top energy efficiency makes an Apeer door a confident choice. You can also be confident that your new composite door will be expertly installed by South Lakes Windows experienced fitters.
The company’s Apeer 70 doorsets are now being constructed with an all-GRP inner sash, replacing the u-PVC sash with fibre glass. It means the entire unit is now made from one material, effectively eliminating any possibility of movement or distortion – a common problem with other types of doorset and the cause of many remedial callbacks throughout the industry.
Apeer’s low-maintenance, highly robust colour finish is designed to stay looking good year after year, both on the outside and on the inside. Choose the perfect colour for the exterior of your home and match it with the perfect colour for the inside.
Plus, for absolute consistency even when the door is open, Apeer carefully colour match every edge. Colours that stay bright whatever the weather!
Standard & Premium Colour Range:

Made from fibreglass (GRP) and high-density polyurethane materials and with extremely efficient draught excluding double rebate, all our Apeer doors can be specified to achieve the maximum A rated energy rating. Even if you want to include glazing in your door* we can use toughened, triple insulated, low E, gas filled glass units meaning you can benefit from extra light without having to compromise greatly on your door’s thermal performance. These units also come complete with the Q Seal warm edge Super Spacer® system. This non-conductive double-sealed spacing inside the panes of glass significantly improves the thermal performance and durability of the glazing.
Why is double rebate important? Apeer’s double rebate system adds additional draught protection by creating an internal secondary rebated seal.
For better insulation all our Apeer composite doors are equipped with toughened triple glazed units. Glazed units are also available with Low E glass and can be gas filled to offer improved thermal performance.
*As you would expect, large areas of glass in the door and surrounding sidelights and toplights can reduce the energy performance of your front door. By specifying low E, gas filled glazed units, you can improve this, but we recommend you work with your dealer to achieve the perfect combination of looks, light and energy performance that is right for your home.
In an Apeer door, every last detail is carefully designed to make a real difference. So when the finishing touches are applied, they put as much consideration and effort into things like glazing trims and mouldings, as they do the overall door finish.
Details like timber-effect raised mouldings and handmade, triple or double insulated decorative glass units might be harder to create, but they are what makes an external Apeer composite door look so unique.
Apeer composite doors manufacturing process allows the flexibility to colour match your complete door entrance system, inside and outside. Colour choices are not restricted to white frames, or to a white only finish on the inside. Choose your door colour, match the door frames, rebate, weather deflector and internal finish.
Integrating glass into your Apeer door is a simple way to add personality and light to your living space. All Apeer doors’ bevelled glass, fused tile and sandblasted designs are hand crafted by decorative glass experts. Each design is then integrated into unique triple or double-glazed units and then presented in the door framed by a matching timber-effect, raised internal moulding trim.
It has been ensured that these glazed units can only be accessed from the inside, which both further enhances the security features of your door and facilitates redecorations or replacements.

Matching timber-effect raised mouldings are fitted to the inside of the door which cover the reinforced, fully insulated toughened glazed units.
Using a unique combination of some of the strongest and robust materials in the world including GRP, Steel, toughened triple or double glazed units and high density polyurethane, Apeer composite doors have security at their very core.

The Lift & Slide handle is a robust elegant design available in Satin Silver, Black, White and Anthracite Grey. Doors can be polyester powder coated to any Ral colour. As with all sliding doors the inside requires a full handle but the outside can be equipped with a full handle or just a recessed cup handle.
For people who desire the ultimate in design, RÄUM offers the Purity handle range. This range is designed by Italian designer, Leo De Carlo, and they are 100% hypo-allergenic, 100% non-corrosive – perfect for any environment. Available in 4 stunning finishes.
